MONDAY
The day ran very efficiently apart from a small confusion that occurred when I looked up and saw my staff gather at what they refer to as "the water cooler".
They know my feelings about these gatherings. They know that frivolity sets my teeth on edge.
I tried to ignore their stupid chit and chat but could not, especially when they burst out laughing.
They know my feelings about laughter. They know it makes my hair fall out.
I went over and inquired as to the nature of what it was they found "humorous".
They said, "Oh, it was just something in yesterday's paper. Someone wrote that Nick Smith was an Accident Compensation Corporation waiting to happen."
